Medicare Supplement plans that make costs predictable

Keep any doctor that accepts Medicare and know almost exactly what a hard year will cost. Plan G and Plan N are where most of our clients land.

Overview

What Medicare Supplement (Medigap) means for you

Medicare Supplement insurance, often called Medigap, works alongside Original Medicare. Medicare pays its share first, then the Supplement pays some or all of what is left, including the Part A deductible and the 20 percent Part B coinsurance.

Medigap plans are standardized by letter. A Plan G from one company has exactly the same medical benefits as a Plan G from another. What differs is the premium, how the company prices increases over time, and service. That is where an independent advisor earns their keep.

The best time to buy is your Medigap Open Enrollment Period: the six months starting the month you are 65 or older and enrolled in Part B. During that window, companies cannot deny you or charge more for health conditions. After it closes, Georgia insurers can generally ask health questions.

Premiums shown are illustrative samples for a 65-year-old non-smoker in ZIP 31405 and are not quotes. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE for all of your options.

How we help you decide

Our process for medicare supplement (medigap), start to finish.

  1. Find your Open Enrollment window

We mark the six months when you can buy any Medigap plan with no health questions.

  2. Choose the letter

Plan G for the fewest surprises, Plan N for a lower premium with small copays. We model both with your usage.

  3. Compare carriers and rate history

We show premiums from each company we represent and how their rates have moved in Georgia.

  4. Pair with a Part D plan

Medigap does not cover prescriptions, so we match a drug plan to your medications and pharmacy.

Why people choose it

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) questions

Still wondering about something? A licensed advisor can answer in plain English, usually the same day.

Neither is better for everyone. Plan G covers more and has fewer copays. Plan N has a lower premium and works well for people who see the doctor a few times a year. We run the numbers with your expected visits.

You can apply any time, but outside your Medigap Open Enrollment Period or a guaranteed issue situation, Georgia insurers can review your health and decline or rate your application.

No. Plans sold today do not include prescription coverage, so you add a separate Part D plan.

Most Medigap premiums rise with age and medical inflation. We review your rate each year and check whether switching carriers makes sense and is possible.
