What a client says

Renata came to our kitchen table, compared Plan G from four companies and wrote everything down in plain English. Two years later she still returns my calls the same day.

How a review works

About 45 minutes from hello to a clear recommendation. Nothing is signed unless you want it to be.

Pick a time and place: your home, our office or video.

  2. Bring your list

Doctors, prescriptions and pharmacy. Pill bottles work too.

  3. Compare side by side

Premiums, networks and a realistic yearly cost for each option.

  4. Enroll and check in yearly

We submit with you, then review your plan every October.

Supplement or Advantage, side by side

The two paths most people choose between. Neither is right for everyone, which is why we start with your doctors and prescriptions.

The road to 65, month by month

Miss one of these windows and penalties can last a lifetime. Here is the order that keeps you safe.

  1. 9 to 6 months before

    Gather the essentials

List your doctors, prescriptions and pharmacy. Ask HR whether your employer plan requires Medicare at 65.

  2. 3 months before

    Initial Enrollment opens

Apply for Parts A and B if you are not already receiving Social Security. Coverage can begin your birthday month.

  3. Your birthday month

Choose the rest of your coverage

Medigap plus Part D, or a Medicare Advantage plan. Your Medigap Open Enrollment window begins with Part B.

  4. 3 months after

    Initial Enrollment closes

Enrolling after this point generally means waiting for the General Enrollment Period and possible penalties.

  5. 6 months after Part B

    Medigap Open Enrollment ends

After this, Georgia insurers can ask health questions for most Supplement applications.

  6. Every Oct 15 - Dec 7

    Annual Enrollment Period

Review your Annual Notice of Change and switch plans if something important changed.

Guides written by our advisors

Long-form answers to the questions we hear at seminars and kitchen tables.

Questions we hear every week

Still wondering about something? A licensed advisor can answer in plain English, usually the same day.

No. Our advice, plan comparisons and yearly reviews are free to you. We are paid a commission by the insurance company you choose, and plan premiums are the same whether you enroll with us, with the carrier directly or on Medicare.gov.

No agency does. We are appointed with 11 carriers in Georgia and South Carolina. We do not offer every plan available in your area, and we will tell you when a plan we do not offer may fit better. You can always contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE for information on all of your options.

The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 to December 7 each year, with changes starting January 1. If you are in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can also make one change between January 1 and March 31.

A Medicare Supplement works alongside Original Medicare, lets you see any provider that accepts Medicare and has a higher premium with low out-of-pocket costs. A Medicare Advantage plan replaces how Original Medicare pays claims, usually has a network, lower premiums, a yearly out-of-pocket maximum and extra benefits.

Yes, with your parent's permission. We can hold a three-way video call, and carriers have authorization forms so you can speak with them directly about claims and billing.
